One reason not to want it is that M Fillon wants to dismantle some of the social policies that have been a hallmark of the fabric of French life. Rightly or wrongly. That is a gift for Le Pen. Tho it is still hard to see her coming out on top. If he does get in Fillon will fail just as Hollande did on the left.
