How Should The 'great' Be Put Back In 'great Britain'

Picking up on AOG's comment on another thread, I thought I would open this up to you all.
What needs to be done to make GB 'great again'? What went wrong and when, or do you think that there is little to worry about?

The Greco-Egyptian scientist Ptolemy referred to the larger island as great Britain (μεγάλης Βρεττανίας - megális Brettanias) and to Ireland as little Britain (μικρής Βρεττανίας - mikris Brettanias)
Brittany has also been referred to as Less, Lesser or Little Britain (as opposed to Great Britain).[2]

For my part, I wish we had better weather and I wish our Social Care system and the NHS was better, much, much better. I wish the xenophobia that has resurfaced over the last few years would go away. I would like more of our essential infrastructure to be back in public hands.
But I wouldn't live in any other country in the world.

Encouraging people to take responsibility for themselves would help. Britain has become a nation of wimps and moaners, too many wanting something for nothing because it is either their ‘right’ or they are ‘entitled’.
The discussion about the meaning of ‘Great’ detracts from the question. It’s quite clear (to me at least) what the OP is talking about.

I think the contention by myself (and others if I can speak for them) was that the word was never intended to be used as a reason to be proud of Britain.
Maybe we should be proud that we embrace multiculturalism and consider it as a way to make Britain 'great'. Maybe we should be proud of the way Mrs May is tackling Brexit?
