Church attendances are down in many western countries but is this the case for other religions?

Phenomena can be scientifically explained, proved & verified, without having to invoke explanations that involve the spiritual world. Invoking the name of God on complex issues (as in the dark ages) can hinder the seeking of explanations & solutions from a scientific & logical standpoint to pressing issues.

Are Niqab & Burka Barriers To Effective Communication & Establishing Trust & Rapport - Like In Testifying In Law Courts, Working In Professions That Require Interaction With People?

Naomi...science has poured enough cold water on the main-stream beliefs of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, to effectively disprove all the main tenets of their structures. If you strip away all the fairy stories associated with those religions, there is nothing left. Science doesn't have to prove that there is no God....its up to religions to prove...

Yes, paranormal/supernatural activities are currently beyond scientific explanation - but further investigations, research, studies may give rise to scientific explanations in the future.

Science and religion are two distinctly different things, science can no more disprove religion than religion, can or would to wish to deny scientific discovery.
This was the crass mistake made by Christopher Hitchins who claimed that "thanks to the telescope and microscope religion no longer offers an explanation of anything important". But Christianity was never meant to be an explanation of anything in the first place.
As Terry Eagleton has said, "It is rather like saying that thanks to the electric toaster we can forget about Chekhov.

And regarding the OP, I would direct you to the bible itself;
"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion". (Proverbs 18:2 )

Science do not have a closed mind (or seek to outdo religion,). Science seeks the truth (not conspiracy theories without evidence) by verification of concrete evidence and whose conclusions are subjected to exhaustive open-minded peer reviews and discussion.

Religions do not always preach good will & good morals for fellow man. Many religions preach and emphasise the separateness/uniqueness of their religion and espouse ill-will towards those who are not followers or who rebelled (i.e. sinned) against their teachings.

How could a God who created (and in charge) of the Universe espouse such separateness and ill-will towards those who are not followers or who rebelled (whom he also created) against the specific religious teachings?

willbe; You sound as though you have it all sewn up, but you also sound as if you don't really know what you are talking about. The New Testament has next to nothing to say about God as creator.

And with your strong conviction and reliance on the infallibility of science - why do you really ask the question in the first place, I think proverbs 18:2 is much more applicable to you. I don't have anything to prove.

Of course I know what I am talking about. I was baptised in C/E church, attended Sunday School, used called myself a 'born-again Christian' by believing (or have faith) that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world on the cross.

I have read the bible twice (from cover to cover, i.e. Genesis to Revelations) & the New Testament even more times. I am very familiar with Christian theological concepts like - the Trinity, resurrection of the dead at Christ's second coming and judgement-day, etc, also the observance of Sabbath and not eating unclean animals by 7th Day Adventist.

The Old Testament is also part of the Christian Bible & doctrine who teaches that almighty God (Jehovah) is an everlasting, all knowing, omnipotent creator of the Universe.

Proverbs 18:2 is applicable to anyone, especially people with blind faith. Science do not seek to disprove religion or have blind faith.

No, because they basically deal with different domains. Where religion discusses the physical world it is making it's best guess at how things work, and such speculation is subject to proving or disproving; but when it sticks to spiritual matters it is in a field untouched by science.
