I would definitely NOT have married No.2. Anyone who has undergone French divorce will sympathise - he turned out to be a psychopath and threatened to kill me. When the hands went round my throat I saw the light! Blame Napoleon and his tax on unmarried co-habitees.

Pretty similar for me, Yilly. Girls would either work in an office or a shop and the lads would go into industry of one form or another.
