I'm sure officialdom can set up in other locations also, should the need arise, Woofie. I've not heard of it being an issue in existing more enlightened countries.
I agree with O_G. A family member or friend shouldn't be put in that position.
I expect lots of us have said that we want to be bumped off before we get too helpless or confused, but I wouldn't expect anyone I love to give me the final injection, or bash over the head with a whisky bottle (family joke, sorry).
Every case is different.
As long as the criteria is met. And it's not done by someone who just want to get rid of the troublesome family member.
