What do you do to make yourself happy/content?

I spend time here on Answerbank enjoying the company and conversation of interesting, well balanced people.

I write about musicians as a job, listen to music, watch TV, read, enjoy the company of my family, and I daily remind myself how blessed I am to have the family and life that I do.

Nothing really. I have nothing to be unhappy about. Lovely OH and kids, great family and lovely selected friends.

Walk the hounds around town, we meet such lovely people and the hounds are so popular with all the local. Or I do a it of work with my cacti and succulents. I also make concrete balls for a past time, amongst other concrete articles.

I love to do a little gardening, a few crosswords at the weekend and try out a new recipe or two from a book I received from a friend,she wrote in every recipe of the meals her family eat regularly and it's just so yummy and fun doing that and showing her pics of my new culinary skills :) I'm always content anyway

Read books and watch anime, spend time with my family and partner, play the odd computer game, socialise generally, plan how to make more money than I've currently got without curtailing my freedom and interfering with my career and generally just mill about because I'm quite happy as I am really.

I go through the kids' massive pile of Lego and find all the bits to make the sets (it's quite consuming) - getting the exact head for the people is a pain though. And then I sell it :)

Listen to the radio.
Do quizzes
Light a candle in the hearth, always one contained in a glass jar, so it cant be dangerous
Feed the ducks(with proper duck food!)
Meet up with friends for a meal and a chat .
Visit lonely/sick people I know and drop in to see them and take them some magazines or books and have a cuppa with them.
