Are You A Parent Who Is Alone This Christmas?
36 Answers
My friend’s husband died earlier in the year, but despite having two grown up daughters neither have invited her for Christmas and so she will be alone. She’s very hurt and understandably so. Do you have thoughtless children, or even children you feel don’t care about you and don't bother with you? I find it terribly sad.

Or perhaps the daughters' partners don't like or get on with her Mum. Nobody should judge, because we don't have the facts. My mum tried very hard to split me and my husband and caused a great rift. No way would I ever have expected her to be with us at Christmas when my Dad died. She always made her own arrangements anyway.
Naomi...dreadful situation for your friend, although I suspect that there is more to this than you may know.
If Xmas isn't a time for families for to come together, I don't what is.
I don't get on my some of my family, but I shall still see them all over the period ( even the ghastly sister-in-law ! )
