The bible prophecies in particular concerning Jerusalem are congruent with what is happening in the news. Things not falling apart but falling into place. Fascinating. Come Lord Jesus.

There's none so blind.
Theland, you don’t appear to be approaching this from a position of rationality and neither is david small who, bringing up the rear, declares without explanation that ‘There are none so blind’, directed I presume at those who argue against the alleged abilities, achievements, and nature of your creator God.

Okay. Let’s presume you’re right and that the universe and everything in it is a product of design. Now I don’t know if that’s true – and neither does anyone else – including you and David Small – so it’s a specious argument. If it is true, however, I question your claim to know what is responsible, how it thinks and what it wants.

Frankly, having read the bible and the Harry Potter novels, contained within the latter, I’ve found more truth, more love, more compassion, more loyalty, and a far greater and far worthier moral code so it never ceases to amaze me that religion promotes the former as a shining example of all those things – and not only gets away with it, but has people eager to exacerbate the lie by disingenuously fighting its corner.

I know you’re not prone to answering awkward question, but you might consider answering this one. It’s very simple. If you met your God in real life, would you like him?
//and neither is david small who, bringing up the rear, declares without explanation that ‘There are none so blind’, directed I presume at those who argue against the alleged abilities, achievements, and nature of your creator God. //

Are you sure of your presumption Naomi?
I believe so. I seem to recall from david small's previous posts that he is of a religious persuasion - but no doubt he'll correct me if I'm wrong.
Naomi24. You are indeed wrong. I am not at all religious. I have studied theological theories, and find them all wanting. Religion has been used throughout the ages as a constraint and weapon of political suppression, enabling the greedy and the powerful to commit appalling atrocities, using its particular dogmas as excuse. All religions are man made, mans interpretation. I reject them all. However, I do believe in a power greater than ourselves. A universal essence, somewhat like Mother Nature.
There is a deep and eternal spiritual love that dwell within us all. The still small voice. So no, I am not religious, but, yes I believe there is something beyond our tiny brains to comprehend. I also believe in life after death, but not in fairies-:)
david small, that sounds rather like religious persuasion to me. When you said 'There are none so blind', to whom were you referring? Theland?
david small, why do you believe in life after death but not fairies? Neither can be proved and both are as fanciful as each other.
Yes, Theland refuses to respond so often to blatant counter arguments, it is frustrating and tedious. Though it could apply to others of an intransigent disposition.
Vulcan42. From personal experiences. No secret. But I do not have the time to elaborate now.
Sorry I have to go, just when it was getting interesting....
david small, perhaps you'll return to it later then?
//Theland refuses to respond so often to blatant counter arguments//
He does respond though. He tells us to look on You Tube :-)
I find it interesting that we are being told more and more to check it on You Tube and not in the Bible. Is it a sign of the electronic times we live in or a sign of desperation?
I have ceased responding to postings by Theland who lives in a never neverland. Perhaps other ABers should join with me.

Hans.

vulcan, //Is it a sign of the electronic times we live in or a sign of desperation? //

Whatever it's a sign of I wonder how often people who rely upon such methods check that what is being said is accurate?
