The bible prophecies in particular concerning Jerusalem are congruent with what is happening in the news. Things not falling apart but falling into place. Fascinating. Come Lord Jesus.

Okay. Let’s presume you’re right and that the universe and everything in it is a product of design. Now I don’t know if that’s true – and neither does anyone else – including you and David Small – so it’s a specious argument. If it is true, however, I question your claim to know what is responsible, how it thinks and what it wants.
Frankly, having read the bible and the Harry Potter novels, contained within the latter, I’ve found more truth, more love, more compassion, more loyalty, and a far greater and far worthier moral code so it never ceases to amaze me that religion promotes the former as a shining example of all those things – and not only gets away with it, but has people eager to exacerbate the lie by disingenuously fighting its corner.
I know you’re not prone to answering awkward question, but you might consider answering this one. It’s very simple. If you met your God in real life, would you like him?

Naomi24. You are indeed wrong. I am not at all religious. I have studied theological theories, and find them all wanting. Religion has been used throughout the ages as a constraint and weapon of political suppression, enabling the greedy and the powerful to commit appalling atrocities, using its particular dogmas as excuse. All religions are man made, mans interpretation. I reject them all. However, I do believe in a power greater than ourselves. A universal essence, somewhat like Mother Nature.
There is a deep and eternal spiritual love that dwell within us all. The still small voice. So no, I am not religious, but, yes I believe there is something beyond our tiny brains to comprehend. I also believe in life after death, but not in fairies-:)
