Do You Usually Listen To Other People’S Advice Or Do You Usually Take Your Own?

Why is that?

That depends on what the subject is. I would listen to a decent plumber's advice on plumbing but I don't let anybody advise me on how to live my life.

Some years ago, i read 2 autobiographies. The subjects were Brian Clough and Chris Waddle. Cloughie took on all the good points of the managers he played under while it appeared that Waddle spent much of his career telling his managers how the game should be played. Guess who became the more successful manager of the 2.
I will ask for advice, I like to know what others think. We all have our own thoughts before we seek advice and I think IMO...for me, I evaluate what I've been told and go with what I feel comfortable with... Sitting on the fence? Maybe but always nice to know what others think and maybe give you their experience on.
Nameless - I am interested. What prompted you to ask this question?
It is not apparently the basis of a debate, and whatever answers you get, I fail to see how you would become more enlightened as a result.
An interesting and speculative thread could be, "Why does Nameless ask these questions from a cul de sac?"
Just curious.
