I don't think the percentage of black news readers accurately reflects the percentage of black people in the country.
Do you think we are getting diversity shoved down our throats?
Putting the news on is like watching Africa News.

Being born in the UK, does not necessarily make your skin white, but if it is black then you are still black.
The old joke about if a dog was born in a stable, it would still be a dog and not a horse.
This thread is all about BLACK skins.

Zacs....I didn't say that.......
I said that if you had black skins then you were a black person.
Of course a British citizen can be black.....please show me where i said that.
If you were referring to the stable joke, that referred to the fact that if you were black skinned and born in the UK, then you were still a black.

"Are you now saying you made a mistake in saying this?"

/// SQAD, ANOTHEOLDIT asked,"Can't you tell a person who is from the Indian sub-continent or one that was born here?" ///
/// That's why Naga Munchetty was mentioned. ///
There are always going to be borderline cases, due to interbreeding or from the differences between certain areas of continents or sub-continents.
But generally one should be able to tell the difference between the Indian racial features, Black features and Chinese features, apparently ummmm can't.

Sqad, if two or even three generations of black people are born and living in a certain country, then they can’t be said to ‘emanate’ from anywhere but that country. Next time you meet a black person of such pedigree, try asking them what it’s like to emanate from India or Africa or wherever you assume their lineage to have originated. See what reaction you get.

I disagree.

I cannot conceive that situation ever arising, as my comments are for this particular thread only.

/// Once again, how do you tell that a person is from India or elsewhere? ///
No back peddling by me I assure you.
Is it the heat or are you letting the kids play on your computer while they are out of school?
/// How do you tell that a person is from India or elsewhere ///
Well there are plenty of them about, your curry takeaways, the corner shop or those praying in the local Mosque, I am sure that they or their forefathers originate from the Indian Sub-Continent.

Your disagreeing rather reinforces my point about your anachronistic attitude in the 21st century, Sqad. You must have worked with countless second and third generation black people who would be very upset to hear that you don’t consider them British.
Your comments have slightly shocked me if I’m honest. I thought such attitudes had died out along with the last century.
