It was something MrJ2 and I became aware of during the later years we lived in France (Macron was a power-hungry and absolutely useless junior minister). We both became convinced of what has since transpired (the formation of a superstate)and moved back to the UK.
I can't see how anyone can a) defend the EU and b)want to place our people and country into serfdom within it. Seriously, we picked up the mood and direction when we were there - our French friends did not like it either.
I expect a lot of flack. :)

I'd be happy to explain why I'm comfortable with our position inside the EU, but in order to be worth my time, you'd have to at least try to be prepared to take anything I say seriously. Anyone who thinks of our relationship with the EU as "serfdom", or what have you, is plainly not interested in listening to an alternative point of view anyway.

Meanwhile, yet another raft of government documents came out today, demonstrating what we all knew already yet again, ie that "no deal" would be probably the biggest act of national suicide imaginable.
