I think any parent regardless of colour creed or social status has the ability to be an embarrassment to their children. He is clearly mentally ill, that is the sad thing, he has not had any psychological help and this his his way of coping. Next question -wait for it...How can he afford these Tats when he is clearly not working?
AuntLydia - // I think any parent regardless of colour creed or social status has the ability to be an embarrassment to their children. //
I can vouch for that!
As a dad whose three daughters have all gone through adolescence, I can confirm that the only circumstances required for me to be a total embarrassment during that time, was to occupy the same hemisphere, and be breathing in and out!!

I am old and really hate tattoos and piercings. I find them ugly. However I appreciate that these days I am in the minority. In this particular case, I don't think they will damage his children, but I think they will be embarrassed when their friends all stare or laugh at their dad with his extreme disfigurement.
AL - // All of my kids bar the youngest have Tats -one a full sleeve. Do you really think I think people with Tats are mentally ill.................no I didn't think so. //
I think that the argument being offered is not that people who have tattoos may be suffering from a psychological condition, but that this particular individual may be - given the extreme nature of the tattoos he has had to none-hideable areas of his body.

I must admit that whenever I see someone with that sort of facial tattoos, I think of this chap......

"...as to the cost question, no idea and not my business."
Possibly not. It could be that this gentleman has private means or a rich benefactor. But the chances are he has not and that he is probably living on benefits. The question then arises, as it does with many who live on benefits, how do they afford such fripperies when many people who work cannot? Then it really does become the business of all of us because if it is so then benefits are clearly too generous.
As for this man's particular problem, he clearly has some sort of personality defect (in common with people like David Beckham) if he sees the need to cover his body with "art". If it's a way of coping with his daughter's illness he needs to seek help because, apparently, the sight of a square inch of his unadulterated skin makes him go all peculiar.
