When you say "Never" do you mean never ever, or never before getting hitched as per arranged marriages ? If the first, one can develop feelings for someone not actually met if in communication with them. If the second, love can grow from getting to know them afterwards.

I fell in love with my SO before we had met in person, so yes you can. We met online and chatted for a few months, then we Skyped and telephoned daily for over a year before we actually met in person. I knew he was the one I wanted to spend my life with before I met him in person. He also knew that I was the one for him.

Love is much more complicated than you think and it works better for some people to meet first and then fall in love. For me, that has never really been an option. I have crippling Social Anxiety Disorder as well as Aspergers Syndrome so meeting strangers can be tough for me. Love is something I always though was never going to happen. I was wrong... Along came someone who didnt care about all of my anxieties and panics. He loves me for who I am.

not a chance. Only by meeting and sharing experiences can one get to know that person. Even then you could end up just as friends, or not meet again.

Im sorry emmie.. but it is possible to fall in love without meeting in person. Love is not just about shared experiences, it can be about deeper things. My SO and I talked for hours, still do, and we now know each other so well. Better, in fact, that I knew my husband, simply because of the way we met. Because we did not meet in person for nearly a year after we started dating, for us it was all about getting to know each other, hopes and dreams, wants and desires. I know that he is my one and only because of how well I know him.
