Everyone talks about liking the sound of bird song, or the laughter of children (Ew, chilling much?) But i am personally, really fond of the distant sound of a train horn. It has to be distant. Duuur Duhhhhh Durrrrr (sometimes even an added duuu)

What natural sounds do you appreciate? It could be industrial, natural or urban

Also, the sound of my front door closing after stay too long visitors go home.
The wind howling down my chimney. It annoys most visitors but I like to hear it.

The whirring clicks of a free hub on a 4 mile long descent.......
We get seagulls sitting on top of the chimney making a racket, which I don't like too much. I was convinced there was one stuck halfway down once, it was making so much noise.

I've been on a canal in Llangollen before. Beautiful place
Dogs barking happily as they play in the park ..
I'm at least a mile away from this (This is in the middle of Stockton High Street, where I live), and I can hear this when it starts at 1:00 p.m. - imagine how loud it is when you're standing right next to the $odding thing.....

It is, especially if you continue a couple of miles on to the Trevor Basin and Pontcysyllte Aquaduct.
