A-H...thanks for your post, I feel much better now and reassured as to my safety, as i was beginning to over-react thinking that there was an escalation of knife crime, which was causing national concern.
To answer the original question, I don’t carry anything to protect myself. I live in a fairly quiet village - well, it’s quiet in winter; it’ll soon get busy with the holiday season. I go to London quite often and don’t feel the need to arm myself there either.
// Theland, if this is a joke it's a poor one.//
no nigh - like many of yours, I think it will turn out to be serious
(yes this post is a joke - kind of)
people know - even on AB you arent allowed to carry weapons in public dont they?
Let sanity reign ! - - - no no I take that back - after all this is AB !
If attacked, and unarmed, most people in desperation especially women, afraid of rape, may try to use keys, comb, pen or handbag to fend off the assailant.
Why not?
It makes sense.
Gives the potential victim a chance of escape.
So my walking stick falls into the same category, and why not go the extra mile and carry a hammer?
