I wonder how it feels to belong to one of the (increasing number of) groups whom no one is permitted to offend.
Paula R didn't say that she disliked trans athletes, or that they were bad. She expressed an opinion about the difficulty of running "fair" athletics events.
Take, for instance, athletes who "identify" with a different gender. What is Usain Bolt decided to identify as a woman. Would other women sprinters be happy to let him run with them (when, in the 200m, he would beat the world's fastest woman by 2.2secs ... about 20metres).
It's difficult. But, with someone like Paula R, the sports authorities should say ... "That's your opinion, but we don't share that opinion". Instead, they feel the need to artificially demonstrate some imaginary politically correct credentials, so that they can tick a box against their compulsory non-discrimination policy, and they do so by burning the witch Paula Radcliffe at the stake.
Before we know it, they will be sticking an elasticated carrot on the nose, Monty Python style.
