Lies, spin and double-speak seem to be the order of the day in more than one area of life, and moreover that dishonesty appears to be not only accepted, but welcomed, encouraged and exacerbated by many. What happened to the once cherished philosophy of honour and integrity?

It's the age of the internet where any attention is good attention. Honour and integrity is boring, that'll never get attention. People do the wild and outrageous and no one questions it, because well.. No one really know's what is right and acceptable. People have lost honour in themselves.

Honour and integrity went out the window when Trump became president and similar events alike.

Yes, I do think your revered POTUS exemplifies all the bad traits you describe. Whilst it would be silly to blame him, he will be responsible for exacerbating the situation, setting a bad example to both the populace and future politicians. He’s ushered in an era where lies and deceit as well as false promises are the norm for a POTUS exponentially increasing previous presidents miss-doings.

I really don't want this thread to revolve around Mr Trump. The demise of honour and integrity reaches far beyond that. Denial of the impact that mass immigration is having upon western society; denial of the reasons that Muslim grooming gangs abound; denial of the extent of anti-western feeling among the supporters of Islam; a mainstream political party that openly declares its determination to defy the result of a democratic referendum and yet still retains significant support among the electorate; other mainstream political parties continually double-speaking, surreptitiously intent on thwarting the result of a democratic referendum and widely supported in their deceit by the equally disingenuous… all of that and more.

You should have stated at the start of the thread what pushed you towards these thoughts. However it's important to note everyone will see different reasons for the lack of honour and integrity in the world.

For example if our world leaders have none, what's the *** point.

That's my point.

You should have stated you wished discussion to be around race, religion and especially Islam. But i guess that may have put some people off from getting involved in discussion. People don't like it when discussion has a blue print.
