Not sure. I would think some of the London counties are (Middlesex etc)
London doesn’t have any counties.
Well I`m in London and I live in Middlesex
it was in 2003, I don't know how it's doing now

Middlesex as an administrative county hasn’t existed for many years.
London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames
I was born in Middlesex 237SJ ! Stanmore.
237, you’ve just answered your own question, you live in a London borough, not a county.
Google is your friend so don't bother asking questions on a Q&S!!

Watching the housebuyers on Location, Location, Location it certianly seems to be.
I think there is a lot of confusion about whether Middlesex is a county. My town used to be in Surrey but the border was changed (following the river) and then it became Middlesex.
How 'expensive' (or otherwise) house prices are is often calculated on the basis of how many times greater the average price of a house is than the average annual income for the same area, rather than on actual house prices.

Using that measure, Surrey is indeed the dearest place to buy with average cost of a house in that county being 14 times the average annual income. Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire come next (both with a ratio of 12.8), followed by West Sussex (12.0):
https://www.countycouncilsnetwork.org.uk/house-prices-in-county-areas-are-now-ten-times-higher-than-average-annual-earnings-as-affordability-crisis-hits-shires/

For 'raw' house prices though (i.e. ignoring what local incomes might be), see the heat map here:

Kingston upon Thames isn't exactly cheap!

That's what I'm watching JTH
^ I like Kingston. It's my local town but I wouldn't want to live there. Richmond is the place you want to live in around here (and Weybridge) Not that I`m bothered. I`m just biding my time here.
Did you see that house advertised? £16.5m and it looks like it was designed using Duplo bricks.
Yes, it is one of the most expensive shires.
It is definately very near the most expensive ! If not actually 'THE' most expensive !
