i recently got overcharged by sainsburys by a fair bit, not unheard of by the way. Do you make a fuss when something is not quite right, as i remember the day when we didn't, but put up with it. Your thoughts or experiences where you got goods, money back..

Occasionally, not always depends on the amount, one such time was two years ago at Christmas, me, my daughter and a friend save £10 a week from October to spend on all things Christmas food and drinks wise at M&S , on such time the bill was £184 and we felt the usually lovely Turkey crown wasn’t as nice and was rather small, I emailed them to ask had they changed suppliers,I didn’t get an answer till January due to the office being closed for the holidays, however I got one asking if we still had the receipt, my daughter did as she kept it to show my friend in particular how much stuff was, I was told to take it to the store and get a refund, they refunded the whole amount despite my protesting it was just the Turkey crown
that's very good Bobbie. I haven't complained yet about the sofa and chair i bought direct from the makers, where one of the cushions seams has come undone and some of the chesterfield studs have come loose. The company may not reimburse me i know, but i spent over 1,500 on the two items and only had them delivered in March.
About six years ago I bought a bench grinder/sander from Lidl. It was just under £40. When I unpacked it from its box I found the self assembley perspex safety window and associate parts were missing. Only about eight parts in total. I went back to the store but they had sold out so I phoned Head Office round the corner in Wimbledon. They gave me the phone number of the UK importer in the West Midlands.
I was asked to scan and send a copy of my receipt and the part numbers that were missing to the Importers.
About 3 months later I was about to ring them up and enquire what had happened to my request as Christmas had been and gone.
There was a knock on my door with a seriously heavy parcel. When I opened it I found the complete bench grinder/sander had been replaced at no extra cost.I only needed several small pieces worth about £2. I gave the grinder to my son and wear safety glasses when using mine.
