I admit to having no understanding of the economy / politics & the way these things work. A friend has sent me a couple of interviews with Ernst Wolff. Can I ask peoples opinion on whether what he's saying bares any weight?

He seems to be quite a shadowy character....nothing in wiki and the only place I can find his writings apart from one website which bills itself as an "independent publisher" No peer reviews, no research, no biography or information about where he has studied or lectured or been employed. On here the website he writes for is described as "a publisher of conspiracy theories" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Chossudovsky

well that wiki you found pretty much chimes with what I found about the website....no prestigious employers, no validated published research and he publishes on a conspiracy theory website.

Eleanor, the internet, the world is awash with people keen to promote their beliefs. This man's are likely to be no more valid than those of Joe Bloggs - and that's without knowing the background to Joe Bloggs. Surely random people on AB aren't going to change your own view of whatever it is he's said?
