what's the flood real or was it just a Myth // – this is a question that many people ask-- And the Bible gives us this information to inform us that there was a flood--- And many people of other nations have their own version of a flood ??-- so with this in mind -- And many top documentaries on the Flood gives us a reasonable and possibility that there was a flood-- As for me the Bible is my expert and that's what I believe..

I believe that none of this stuff is read for sense before posting.

There's a finite amount of water about the place, it relocates from time to time but there's not enough to flood the globe.

Stories to scare children and the hard of thinking is my belief.
//many people of other nations have their own version of a flood//

True ... so what makes the biblical account any more special than the rest?
“As for me the bible is my expert and that’s what I believe”

Good grief.
I'm sure there have been many local floods. Seas overcome low lying ground, tsunamis exist. Plus it's easy to make up stories too. But the biblical account hardly sounds feasible. Reads most likely as the usual religious group propaganda on behalf of their claimed God as part of the campaign to draw the tribe in.
A question for you Locusts. If God flooded the earth destroying mankind (apart from Noah and his family), who recorded the various flood stories from other parts of the world? China or South America for example?
Naomi, I think that, probably, the 'earth' in biblical times would only include the known world at that time, mainly the area occupied by what we know as the Middle East.
danny, that was doubtless Noah's world, but flood stories abound in the rest of the world too.

///just imagine if the Earth was flat and just rolling hills --takeaway the big mountains- and then - -----flat the sea beds -take a way the sea trenches in ocean {Mariana trench - approximately 7 miles deep- and then melt all the ice in north and south polar regions --the calculations would be about 2 mile deep all around the Earth {approximately 2 miles deep} {Antarctica ice melting}

so with a lot of the information we have the day- from scientist and the use of YouTube this will give us an idea that the water is still here upon the Earth-- And did not evaporate and we can see that the the Mariana trenches swallowed up most of the water upon the earth as we know it today
The flood was Old Testament - therefore you also believe we’re all descended from Adam and Eve then presumably.

Blimey, these people walk amongst us.
locusts; if you believe that the flood really happened at god's command, then you must be rather sad (to say the least) to believe that we are ruled by a truly ruthless, cruel and unjust being. What did all the poor animals do to incur his anger and punishment?
i think the building of the ark was a remarkable achievement for a chap who was over 500 years old
More than any other story, the Flood story demonstrates the Bible is completely ludicrous.

Anyone who believes it would have to have an impaired mind.
"the use of YouTube" eh? You don't scare me with your moving pictures and flat-Earthness.

locusts 11:06. Why did god feel the need to flatten all the earth and to raise the sea-bed when it would have been simpler and fairer to simply kill the wicked ones by wishing them dead?
"As for me the Bible is my expert and that's what I believe.. "

If that is what you believe, then why are you asking if the flood was real? Surely you already know the answer, if you believe everything in the Bible.

//you must have read this question-and said to yourself oh not again- and then you must have thought about it --so now you put it down; And ask me- why- why--- I'm asking you or your friends this way --I can put my point of view to you and then you will put your point of you to me --and why you think I'm wrong - And then we have a discussion – We will see which is correct -I will quote the Bible - for you will quote man and the professors - what they are talking about some of it is fantastic - Yes but some professors sidestep the real answer or question - just to prove their point --so with us we can negotiate-- or put to right what the world is trying to say- in our way of thinking .???? for me it is saving lives because the Bible asked us to to spread the word of God almighty.

Atheist // locusts 11:06. [//Why did god feel the need to flatten all the earth and to raise the sea-bed when it would have been simpler and fairer to simply kill the wicked ones by wishing them dead? .

//one of your friends ask a question on the water and to try to prove that the water did not exist at all over the earth but when you are analysed this question and with the knowledge which is on the YouTube channels it comes to reasoning that the Earth was flooded - Because the water is still here hear-- and the other question is the flood was here for 3 a reason {sovereignty }The disobedience of the Angels which left their proper place in the heavens- and came to work and married women and had these children which grew into Giants - The Bible-- it says these Giants-- the Nephilim -
- where - where - cold-blooded murderers just to get what they want .
Locusts, you appear to have overlooked my questions at 08:50 Thu 23rd Jul and 09:34 Thu 23rd Jul.

Incidentally, //The disobedience of the Angels// is debatable. You take your lead from the constructed mythology of the New Testament - Revelation in particular - but the original story in Genesis refers to them as ‘the sons of God’. Why don’t you believe that's who they were?
