Ask An Atheist Because Of The Diseases And Other Problems That Exist ?
21 Answers
Is it not true that man’s misrule, his wars, crime, dishonesty, and so forth, cause most of these problems?
How many diseases—such as heart disease or cancer, covid—are largely a result of the environment and living habits that man himself has developed?
How many other diseases could be controlled but for the fact that a huge proportion of the human race lives in poverty and squalor?
And one could go on on.

Good point but cancer has little or no relationship to poverty or squalor and heart disease likewise.
The weather and affluent have their fair share of cardiovascular disease.
Maybe you have a point with vitamin deficiency disorders.

Life's problems have always existed. The search for shelter, food, self-protection and reproduction has always caused problems. Some of life's problems are man-made, others are natural (e.g. storms, floods, plagues, diseases.) It's true that 'man' is now so populous that the whole world as we know it is at risk, and 'man' needs to tackle this as a matter of utmost urgency. By the way, I don't think that prayer is the way forward; we need to learn to live together as if we were one big family (which is what we are) and to treat each other with respect and good will. Unfortunately some religions result in discord because their adherents see themselves as the 'chosen ones'.
A glance at newspaper headlines confirms that fact each day. The desperate state of our world has caused many to question the existence of God. Some, claiming to be atheist, even deny his existence. like a lot you on here.
Belief or disbelief in God can profoundly affect your outlook on the future. Without God, the survival of the human race is entirely in man’s hands—a bleak thought, considering man’s destructive potential.
If you do believe that God exists, then you likely accept that life on this planet does have a purpose—a purpose that may yet be realized fo you.
Although denials of God’s existence have been sporadic throughout history, it is only in recent centuries that the popularity of atheism has spread. Do you know why?
I know that lot our of studies are atheist.

Yes but, If that is true of you, something as personal and as uniquely human as language, then would it not be reasonable to think that man’s ideas about God and religion should also have started from one common source? After all, religion is related to thinking, and thinking is related to man’s ability to use language. It is not that all religions actually grew out of one religion, but the ideas and concepts should be traceable to some common origin or pool of religious ideas.
There is evidence to support this too.

Atheists envision a world with no religion—no suicide bombers, no religious wars, and no televangelists fleecing their flocks. Does that vision appeal to you?
Before answering, ask yourself this, ‘Is there any evidence that universal atheism would lead to a better world?’ Consider: As many as 1.5 million Cambodians died in the Khmer Rouge effort to establish a godless Marxist state. And in the officially atheistic USSR, Joseph Stalin’s rule resulted in tens of millions of deaths.
