” Do you believe that God created all things ? If so, you’re not alone; many young people (and adults) share your view. But others say that life and the universe evolved ?? .without the help of a “Supreme Being. Why is that question important ? Because the Bible encourages you to use your MIND, “your POWER OF REASON .” That means your belief in God should not be based merely on the influence of others ,When I see a house, a cruise ship, or a car, I ask myself, ‘Who built this?’ It takes intelligent people to build a car, for example, because so many small components have to work just right for the whole thing to function. And if cars have to be designed by someone, then so do we humans. ??? then just ask yourself ,,did just full out of the sky ???? Matthew 5:3)

Well it never happened this side, but after Armageddon if you survive in to God Kingdom you will see it. That's it for tonight folks goodnight.
"Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God."

And your evidence of this is ? Or is it a blind unsupported guess ?
Goodlife, why do you sometimes write in intelligible sentences, and sometimes write in a style that is hard to understand because the grammar and structure and vocabulary is so primitive? Do you copy and paste things here?
When I think of goodlife
//That's it for tonight folks goodnight//

Looney tune.....
'Why Do I Believe In God ?'

When confronted with the choice to believe in 'God', whatever, for me it came down to the choice of whether or not to surrender my curiosity to determine the truth to fear of my own ignorance and self doubt. The more I've learned about what is real, the more reassured I've become from having made the choice to face reality, whatever that might be, rather than succumb to the mentally debilitating vacuous comfort and lifelong dependency evident in those who chose believing in God.
There is only one real cure for the fear of one's own ignorance, that is having the courage to pursue knowledge in order to achieve a genuine understanding that the only thing to be feared more than ignorance is reliance upon and unwavering dedication to an unsubstantiated belief.
mibn2cweus@ I see your point in taking the easy course but it not the happiest course, ( Psalm 16:11) says
You make known to me the path of life.In your presence is abundant joy; There is happiness* at your right hand forever.
Atheist yes I do copy and paste sometimes this is because it says it much better than I can. Are you happy now.

sevenOP 12:04 Tue 29th Dec 202 So whatever caused time and every natural thing to begin to exist must not be subject to time and natural laws...
////yes I do like this, for God is not subject to time and space or nature or existence because he is a spirit with the ability of unnatural power, That we as humans cannot explain because God is a spirit and not subject to,, to the laws of human life so therefore he lives in a different realm than us , he is not governed by the laws of physics, he is governed by his own personality{love is his dominating quality}

vulcan42 11:15 Tue 29th Dec 2020 heists state nothing comes from nothing so the big bang and evolution could not have happened, therefore your God created the universe. How did your God create the universe if nothing comes from nothing? What did he use in the creation?
///The holy writ says he's dynamic energy, so dynamic energy is beyond anything you can think of, so therefore, he can use his dynamic energy to create, to eliminate to improve or even create a universe, how far is the universe goes on and goes and goes on , can you count the amount of time where it goes ,and buy my understanding from the holy writings he was there before all this, But therefore do not ask me where he came from because I don't know ???? the Bible speaks of him as being the first and the last."
nailit @ so I must make you laugh then.( Ps. 2:4.)

naomi24 11:02 Tue 29th Dec 2020 You've either been listening to stories or you've made that up.
//this is the third you accuse me of making up stories ,when the fact is there,, quotations are true, from the holy writings if you are so called a scholar from the holy writings then you should know that these facts are true and therefore I think you need to go back. and do a bit more studying {research} and realise that those things, I have mention actually come from the holy writings {1} genesis,1,26 / 11..7..Proverbs .8.22..John 1.3..14 Colossians.1.15.17 .Hebrews.1 2 {Making up stories is lies and therefore I do not want to become a liar.}
GL //Atheist yes I do copy and paste sometimes this is because it says it much better than I can. Are you happy now.//

I'm not. You can give your own genuine views and beliefs much better than anyone else could.
A Scientific American article from 6 years ago:

https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/life-unbounded/this-is-what-we-done28099t-know-about-the-universe/

but after 6 years we are no further on, & probably not likely to be, & yet with such a vast array of things we don't know, people can say without any doubt, that they are certain that there can be no higher power than themselves, it's really laughable when you think about it.
Khandro, I doubt if there are many atheists who claim to have proof (or to know for certain) that god doesn't exist. For me, atheism means that I see no reason or need for there to be a god and so I base my life on the premise that there isn't one.
Khandro; there is much we don't know about the universe, and so we continue to seek for some answers. Postulating a god seems to some people to answer everything and gives them comfort and security (unless they believe in hell and the inherent sinfulness of humankind). It's not in my makeup to put my head in the sand.
Locusts, you said : //God the Creator created first his son then the multitude of angels and they had their own ranks and then there are the messengers //

Read the beginning of Genesis. That tells you the order of creation and I see no son of God nor ranks of angels or messengers mentioned there. As I said, you’re listening to - or rather reading - stories. You’re finding a reason that God would use the word ‘us’ - a reason that isn’t made clear and, hence, arguably the wrong reason.

sevenOP, "So whatever caused time and every natural thing to begin to exist must not be subject to time and natural laws...
So, that only leaves us with the hypothesis that something must have always existed eternally which is not natural and therefore not subject to the laws of cause and effect and which could create a universe and life."

That assumes that man is completely aware of and au fait with all the laws of nature. Personally, I would question that assumption. There is much we have yet to learn.
alleluia !
Khandro, //they are certain that there can be no higher power than themselves, it's really laughable when you think about it. //

Best you don't think about it then because you've got it wrong. Atheists have no reason to believe. However, should tangible evidence be presented they would reassess their position. Can the religious say the same?
Khandro: //they are certain that there can be no higher power than themselves, it's really laughable when you think about it. // - I will smite you down sinner!
