Modern Israel - Fulfillment Of Bible Prophecy.

There are so many bible scriptures that foretell the scattering, persecution, regathering and blessing of the Jews, that my faith is strengthened watching God keeping His Word to His chosen people, honouring His covenant to them.
The bible is the true word of God, and these prophecies are just another way of Him provide g Himself to be a God of His word.
This means that all of His other promises and warnings are true also.
Jesus Christ was both Saviour and prophet, and His words need heeding with all seriousness.
Will you study the prophecies, and compare them to history and contemporary events?

Theland, you are once again taking two and two and making twenty-two, because it comforts you to see historical events as bearing out Biblical fortelling.

It's a common human trait - but that does not mean that it is valid.

Have you seen the Peter Kay sketch when he refers to a woman at her friend's funeral, seeing a crip packet blown along the road, and deciding that this was her late friend sending a message to her?

Humour yes, but the comparison is valid.

If the lady in Mr Kay's sketch takes comfort from a mesage from her friend by seeing a crisp packet blowing past - then she is every bit as entitled to take comfort from that, as you do from your 'prophesied fulfillment' that you foist on us at regular intervals.

Both are conclusions drawn by people who see comfort where they want to see it - as messages from somewhere else.

But seeing something, and it being a 'message' are not the same thing - not by any stretch of the (ahem) imagination.

Not being a 'bible basher', i can;t comment, but I think you'll find that the term is descriptive, rather than literal.

My point is that Theland is shoehorning history to fit his particular perceptions of promises made by the deity he worships because it makes him feel better.

Fair enough.

I avoid any such confusion by starting a post to an individual AB'er with their name, so there is no confusion about whom I am addressing.

Theland likes to draw what he perceives as 'modern' historical events, and day-by-day activity at present, as being written in the bible, and therefore the manifestation of God's word.

I think that makes it 'prophesy' as I understand the term.

And as he understands it - he uses the term every time he brings up the subject.

To date, not one single AB'er has posted agreement with his position, but he is nothing if not committed.

There are twice as many Jews in the USA as there are in Israel. New York City alone has a Jewish population about one quarter that of Israel. I wonder why that is? Whatever the reason, the "regathering" you say the scriptures tell of seems to be more prevalent in the USA than in Israel. But then the Jews have always been canny folk.

Your point does rather demolish the constant cocnut shy that is Theland's determination to steer history around to confirming his Christian views.

Mind you, as regulars know, that's really not saying much - it's too easy by half.

Israel is where Biblical prophecy is at. It is God's barometer. The creation of the state of Israel in 1948 was in my opionion the single most prophetic event of the last century.
It is no accident that things are heating up there now.

The reason things are "heating up" (as you quaintly put it) in Israel has nothing to do with God or biblical prophesies. It's to do with the people who live there.
