A Family That Think You Are Fat, Even Though You’re Not
13 Answers
I'm not even fat, but my family considers me to be overweight and forces me to exercise so that I get thin. It's almost like they hate that I have a healthy body image and is trying to change that by painting me as obese and making me exercise. How do I fix this?

Cruel thing to say to someone either way. Things like that can trigger eating disorders.

Start by ensuring that (from a statistical viewpoint) you're right and your family aren't: https:/ /www.cd c.gov/h ealthyw eight/a ssessin g/bmi/a dult_bm i/engli sh_bmi_ calcula tor/bmi _calcul ator.ht ml
If the BMI calculator shows that you're overweight, it might be a good idea to follow your family's advice. (Indeed, if you're leading an almost sedentary lifestyle, increasing the amount of exercise you get isn't a bad idea anyway, irrespective of your weight).
If the BMI calculator shows that you're a healthy weight, you'll have some useful ammunition for your battle with your family.
