Annoying New Words And Phrases

I particularly dislike "woke" and the kind of person who would use such a word. Also "cancel culture" and going back a bit further "bi-polar" which sounds like someone who has visited both the north and the south pole. Good job it wasn't around when Jimi Hendrix wrote Manic Depression. Anyone got any other pet hates ?.

I accept most of the words as simply ppart of the new vernacular, and rarely use them.

Two words that annoy me are 'peloton' when used in an advert by someone addressing people who bought their over-priced static exercise bikes, using it as a collective noun ' Come on peloton you've got this ...'

And the other is 'influencer' which seems to be meaningless nonsense to describe a young person with no discerable talent whatsoever, except apparently to be able to 'influence' millions of other young people for reasons that a mystery to me (I know, it's a 'youth' thing), and get paid astronomical amounts of money for doing it.
