Has anyone heard about all these allegations? theyve been around for a while, and it seems nothing was ever done or resolved.

there is actual footage of his former stalker who then lived with him as his sole carer who supposedly fed him weed al the time, was agressive, hit him, banned all his other friends from coming over, blocked loads of fans online, and basically acted unhinged & awful - and a lot of it is on camera!
ive seen a few vids & it does seem like she's unhinged at times, obsessive & weird.
but its hard to tell if Nez even notices, he is clearly not well, & seems a bit out of it the whole time.
he was apparently aware that viewers were worried about him & that there was a 'Help Nez' campaign, & posted to say he was fine, but many think that she wrote that.

but she took over his whole life, and in his last few years he suddenly went down hill, appearing to age & look more ill than expected.

I knew nothing about any of this until shortly after he died when i was browsing a few Monkees articles.
I'm stunned tbh, opinions are all over the place, his best friend was worried sick & hurt, but his son says he fine, and they check on him - but the videos are weird - and i havent even watched themm all yet as having computer problems.

Has anyone heard of all this?
i'm amazed more wasnt done for him because the supposed evidence is surely enough to have warranted police investigation at least.

i got most of the story/links etc from nakedpersimmon/tumblr.com but there are various other sites & sources - Nez's own pages too.

many people have said theyve had posts removed, been threatened, bullied, hacked all kinds of stuff to stop people talking about it.

NB: im well aware of how gossip can inflate online & some fans can be obsessive & weird, & i was dubious, until i saw a few videos, now im not so sure.

its bad enough this kind of think happens to any oap, but to a millionaire pop/rock icon/celebrity, and he seemingly dies without anything being done about it, its awful.

I didn't know any of this. I know he was on tour with Micky Dolenz until around 6 weeks ago, so hppefully that gave him some respite from any abuse that happened.

although perhaps his most ardent fans may have exaggerated a few times, there definitely seems to be somethung untoward going on there - the carers history was checked out & she has known mental health issues, which they felt were leading her to have become so obsessive over him.
one clip i saw she was ridiculing him because he said he was hungry & when was dinner, & she said they'd literally just eaten ... :(
trouble is, no way to know whether they had & he'd forgotten or she was lying to try to gaslight him.
to make herself seem indispensible, to make him need her.
he seems to like her, but if hes that forgetful, he may just not remember or notice the things she does.
i guess now he's died, we'll see what the situation is with his will, see if she gets the lions share...
he is far richer than the other monkees, as he was left a huge inheritance from his mum who invented liquid paper.

Interesting, mamya. Joko, it wouldn't make a difference if he had "just eaten". If he was hungry, he was hungry.
It's hard to tell what was going on. Him "liking" her, is a good sign. That's facial recognition, that he sees her as good, not a memory that she is nice.
I guess we'll see.

mama - yes i definitely think some of the stuff being said is just amateur detective amateur dramatic, jumping to conclusions, which is why i was dubious, so many people have commented about him & i have no doubt those people are a wide range of types, so i am dubious.
i also noticed the inflammatory language some of them used - stuff like instead of the reality that she 'raised her voice', they write it as 'screamed at him', instead of her rolling her eyes and sighing, they had her as going ballistic etc.
im going to watch & read some more.
i totally believe his friend that Nez wouldnt let himself be bullied, but it kind of seemed like he didnt realise it.
one of the main allegations against the carer is the stuff he doesnt see her doing.
i dont get why they didnt hire a pro carer to look after him - its not like money was an issue, instead of this random girl who stalked him then wheedled her way into his life, supposedly.
ive seen a few clips of their gigs & he did seem very infirm & forgetful, but as his pal said, it was his choice & he's an old man, thats what happens when you get old.
its just all fuel for the fire i guess

pixie, well yes if hes hungry, feed him, but she seemed exasperated at him, that he'd forgotten already.

its an odd thing for her to do publically, knowing that people are watching & will be angry at her for it, & to keep posting these videos, which often get deleted or she gets upset & stops recording in the middle of them.
which made me wonder if she was trying to make him look totally senile, by flagging up his forgetfulness & smoking loads of weed

haven't read all of the posts - but wasn't Stephen Hawkins abused by his carer too. All *** if you ask me. There's no smoke without fire.

sorry Mozz - had to google Stan Lee - don't know him at all. You know I am not brainy but sorry to hear of him being abused or anybody being abused.

Can't abide animals being abused - breaks my heart cos they can't answer back.

Unfortunately, it seems rife, mozz... in homecare. Just about always unintentional, by relatives... but definitely daily.

Pixie - aren't you a carer/owner of a care home, if you are I would hope to wish to end up in one of yours. I'm not sure if it is either you or Prudie that is a carer - either way - would like to end up in a nice place.
