If I Can’t Smell My Aftershave After A While, Can Others Still Smell It?

I like to use Keuros aftershave. When I spray it on my neck I can smell it strongly for a bit, then it fades away from my scent. Other people however, if they came close to me can they still smell it? Thanks

Yes they can, Brian. Don't go topping yourself up when you get used to the smell....it's still there for others.

Or you could use the line, one of our family friends in the United States used. Pulled over in Philadelphia after a night out at 2am, the cop said, "I can smell alcohol on your breath."

His answer, so full of chutzpah, "That's not alcohol, Officer. It's my girlfriend."

Often less is better.
My nephew used to use so much aftershave it would almost sting your eyes when he came into s room.

I'd say women have the same problem with perfume or cologne. If something is used often, you just get used to it. That's why you'll find we have multiple bottles of lots of lovely scents.
So, use this as an excuse to try something new, then alternate between them.

Kouros is one of the stronger ones for sure, but if in doubt use less not more.

If you're using, "Keuros" and not, "Kouros", that might explain the loss of fragrance after a short period...

toilet water is not as strong as odour perfume if there are two the perfume is usually a better option to last longer

The usual choices are cologne and perfume...the second is stronger and more concentrated.,it will last longer due to the ingredients used.

The brain is tuned to spot differences, which is why flashing lights catch the eye more than a steady light. Your brain tunes out the smell of your own body so that it can concentrate on spotting new smell which might be dangerous.

the wafty bit ( hard words in this post - watch out!) is called now sillage - no not silage ( sigh-lidge - that is where the farmer put cow manure) sillage - ( see- large ) - - try to make the g into zh as in zhuzh. - same as the j in toujours

as you pass leddy in street - you get a wafty bit of her perfume ( parfum) - you will still be emitting that.

and on a country note - my dog ( labby) can smell the dog walker around a corner with a breeze blowing ( wrong direction) and I STILL havent worked out how she does it. 200m.Much joy etc
