Does God Exist

atheists have their own Theory .Which is their god .But he does not give any good explanation about their Theory.
Why do many people think the Many Bible is amiss or just a book of stories.
Many people believe in a Supreme being but they can't believe in a god.???
Belief in a Creator Because Bible prophecies have been so exact, critics have branded them as deceptions, that is, history written after the fact and disguised as prophecy. But how can one rationally assert that Jewish priests would dare to invent a prophecy? And why would they invent prophecies that contained the hardest diatribes imaginable against themselves? (Isaiah 56:10, 11; Jeremiah 8:10; Zephaniah 3:4) In addition, how could an entire literate nation, trained and educated with the Bible as its sacred text, be taken in by such a hoax?—Deuteronomy 6:4-9.

Well, I've never known such rubbish. You call yourselves intelligent! There's no one here. Maybe Khandro but even he/she is limited to the Creator.

Khandro;
"For example the 'law of Gravity' is contingent because it depends on physical mass, remove that & there is no gravity, (that's why astronauts in space float about)."
Astronauts in space do have mass and they don't float around because there is no gravity. Wherever you are in the universe you are affected by gravity. Can you explain your sentence a bit more? I masy be misunderstanding you.

OK, the gravitational pull gets weaker the further away from earth you go, as you get closer to Mars its gravitational pull increases, but really everything is attracted to everything else to a greater & lesser degree.
In fact, it supports my point that in the material word everything is contingent, it was the first example I could think of, - & not very well explained.

One of the basic tenets of Buddhism is the concept of interdependence which says that all things exist only in relationship to others, and that nothing can have an independent and autonomous existence, everything is contingent on something else.
I was simply emphasising this in relationship to the material world, but what we have to ask is, to what end and for what reason are we part of it. That is where for me materialism ends & all religions start.

Atheist: //imagine … there really is no creator? Would that make you feel that your life is meaningless, and that you are worthless and that there is no point in living? //
A lot of religious people would feel that way to some degree I think. It’s tied in with a feeling of self importance and worth, that the master of the universe cares about them specifically. It’s an alluring hook to be fair.

Khandro - You are one of any number of people who need and take comfort from the notion that you are created by a superior being, and are beholden to him for your life here, and beyond.
I accept that about you, and have for a very long time.
All you need to do is have the respect to accept that I, and a number of others on here, have no need of that comfort, and do not share your need, or your desire to share it.
Maybe something for you to think about.
Experience tells me that I am not going to be successful in that notion.
