Are The Pillars Of Society Crumbling?

'Teachers, doctors, police… none are what they were', says Tony Parsons writing in the Sun.

These are people who once, without effort, commanded our absolute respect, and he is echoing my thoughts. With striking medical professionals on the streets hooting and hollering, teachers teaching children that 'Woke' is beyond criticism, and police failing to do a proper job in upholding the law, how can we possibly have confidence in any of them?

police have never had my respect... i avoid them whenever possible
teachers sadly are expected to do everything other than teach

Some of them excel at the last part.
The 'medical emergency' is over but still expensively trained professionals hide away from those who need them.
Police? Well, you'll not see Dixon of Dock Green again that's for sure.
Scruffy herberts in checked caps who've watched too much American telly abound though.

sounds as tho you need to go out and fire a few buildings - hollering ( hem hem) "justice for Nahel".
I have to say my dear late mother ( d 1995) said of a surgeon:
"I dont care how rude he is: can he do the operation?"
My brother broke his implanted hip ( Vancouver type I) and was passed around the county. It was obvious no one wanted to do the operation as the results were so crap in whomever's hands.
Teachers - seemd to be hell bent on unionising 1962-66 - coinciding with comphrehensives.

This paid 'uniform carrier ' is a coward and a disgrace to the profession. He should be given the boot. The Police in too many occasions, attract justifiable criticism these days. Myself and many of my long serving colleagues feel thoroughly ashamed to have been associated with a job we loved and served with distinction 25 years ago. No wonder they don't command any respect or trust by the people they let down.

The pillars have always been crumbling, according to old grumpies who have complained since the dawn of history and probably from before the dawn. But not all old people are grumpy. I think it's like climate change, just a conspiracy to take control of old people's minds and encourage voluntary euthanasia so that those who can afford special secretly-designed blood transfusions can live forever.
No, I dont think the pillars of society are crumbling as such. Granted there are a fair few loudmouths, usually ultra liberals, who are tarring the majority particularly in teaching and the Police. The young doctors are thrall to the ultra left BMA, they will grow out of it when they are grasping the private work alongside their NHS job though.
There is hope, the the many need to stand up to the minority.

I wonder what the outcome of an investigation will be for this work-shy specimen. PCSO's do not have the same powers as the police but this one has failed in all areas:

Public-facing, my foot! Got to find the rat hole first...
He gets a minimum of £12:73 per hour and a marked police car to sit in for what purpose?
