I thought the special relationship thread had a decent discussion, Compared to well this one

standard structure - TTT states some outrageous rubbish ( "we all hate Britain" springs to mind) and invites people ( usually in a state of exhaustion at ANOTHER TTT thread) to refute it.

I dont hate my country, but my country is not my identity.
I get my identity from elsewhere. I think history shows that is probably the healthier option
