I Know This Is Racist But Can We Request White Only Carers On The Nhs?
10 Answers
Before you judge just hear me out please. Sadly, my mother has Alzheimer's and I am partially disabled and need help taking care of her. Sadly since her Alzheimer's has really taken a hold she's become incredibly racist and cruel to carers. In the past She flat out refuses any carer who is not white to even come in the house but it's come to the point now where I can't help her on my own. The NHS have said they'll send carers around but I don't know how to ask them the above without sounding like a bigot or in worried they'll think it's me saying it.

It is reasonable to inform them that your mother's symptoms include extreme racism so their employees know what to expect. Hopefully they will be able to both accommodate your mother's needs and protect their staff.
