I have noticed, as I'm sure may others have, that some muslims expect non-muslims to adapt their way of life to conform with muslim practice. IMHO I believe we should resist this trend and treat the inevitable charges of racism with the contempt they deserve.

If he walked away the problem would be solved.

Or get off the bus.

That was suggested to him but the guy was being a complete rissole.

No,Why on earth should I expect others to conform to what I choose to do. It would be up to me to move

.....and thinking about it lots of people these days fast for dietary purposes I'm sure they don't demand that people desist from eating close to them

Of course not. One is entitled to ask if they are willing to refrain but as it isn't their fault I was opting to fast. I'd expect a refusal.

I have seen that video before. The guy's sense of entitlement and apparent inability to realise he is harassing another for simply not acquiescing to his demands, are near unbelievable to normal folk.

Fasting is something a person chooses to do with the knowledge that others will continue to eat.

It is unreasonable to expect others to change their eating habits.

The suspicion must be that some think it's alright and expected if their culture takes priority over the one in the country they are presently in.

filming her is an aggressive thing to do.. no wonder she reacted badly to someone sticking a camera in her face

he should have gone downstairs and minded his own business like a normal person

Funny you should mention this, cuz I was in UK recently and popped into an Indian shop which sells Samosas, just as I was about to leave, I noticed a small table and a chair, so I asked if he didn't mind me sitting down? He said no problem, just as I was tucking in, I said these samosas are yummy! That's when I  noticed somethig on the wall written in Arabic, so u asked if was doing ramadan? He said yes of course!! I then wished id left the shop, it felt like I was taking the p!!

Piggynose, the man was selling food and had a table and chair in his shop - presumably for people to use to eat the food. You were fine.
The man on the bus is an idiot
