Why would you go to an event with knackered rhythms on your plates?

TTT - Why are you pretending to be a Cocnkey these days?

I am a student of languages and dialects, in fact any form of human communication. You don't have to be Chinese enjoy it. Not everyone that speaks French is French. I am not "pretending", I am utilising.

Absolutely, yes take them off.

My father used to go mad at my youngest sister ruining the parquet and lino in her stiletto heels. So would I.

TTT, maybe you should use the Black Country dialect for a change.  At least I'd be able to understand you

.... or West Country ... Ooh Arr ... Ooh Arr

yes commonplace in some cultures

I don't wear stilettos nowadays, but I take off my shoes if I go to a 'shoes off' house.

1955, I was 19, my first 'invite to tea' on what was to become my inlaws, I wore pretty pink stilleto heels..after the meal mother in law clears the drop leaf table..exposing the very old lino with barely any pattern left..she noticed where my heels had marked the lino, looked across the room at me making some remark about the floor. .oppos. I was 19, old enough to know better. I never wore shoes in doors at my parents home, where I lived.

I forever, never wear shoes in anyone's home since.
