Why? It's a multicultural school where all the kids get on with each other. As far as the kids are concerned, they are colour blind. So why do the teachers raise the issue when there isn't a problem. Now they have pointed out the differences in skin colour, that's when racist comments will start.

A black day indeed.

They are trobiscites they feed on isms, if there are none they create them.

Like you with words?

Do you know for a fact there is no racism at the school?

Even if there were no racism at the school, it makes them aware that it exists elsewhere and how to deal with it.

I bet fifty pence that there's a chalkboard and a whiteboard somewhere in the school.

Now that's just racist pandering.

...and I bet they do "eeny meany miney mo" wrong too!

So what is the correct way, TTT. I think you might find that the actual rhyme did not originate in America, but the racist element of the middle two lines certainly did.

Perhaps the school has suffered from some racist behaviour you're unaware of?

It was Red Card Day yesterday  (Show Racism the Red Card) so it was probably part of that.

Highlighting that racism goes on and education of the young is the way the stop it happening in the future.
