The gist of it was, when you're in the booth nobody can see where you place your X.

Some Republicans criticised this, saying a wife shouldn't keep secrets from her husband.

Take that a step further and they might argue the husband could cast two votes, one for himself and the other for his partner.  Then she wouldn't have to worry her pretty little head about politics and could stay in the kitchen.

I hope the Democrats win and Trump is consigned to the dustbin of history.

As I passed over Loose Women this lunchtime my 20 second visit included an ad by, I think, Julia Roberts for wimmin voting in the US and being accompanied to the poll by their menfolk. It seemed to stress the secrecy of the ballot booth but unfortunately I had to leave the channel before Ruth got the gals up to full speed.Maybe the era of Stepford Wives is behind us...

Maybe the era of Stepford Wives is behind us and a new day dawns.
