.......to pay the government fines they have had levied for gross mismanagement (and maybe an inflation busting pay rise/bonus for their CEO and dividends for shareholders).

 

What with the outcry on AB at some pensioners loosing the £300 winter fuel, it’s surprising that none have mentioned this yet.

Hi Me - I see this is todays rave

if you want clean water - you pay  for it

Mine's likely to go up £50. 

Mine's actually quite reasonable so I`m not bothered

There's been mismanagement but most of the increase is not due to the reasons you claim. It's for a major improvements.

Let's hope the government puts something in place to ensure they deliver. 

Maybe they would have the money if they hadn't paid the fines

The major improvements are from earlier mismanagement having not sorted things earlier.

 

(Likely goes back to the mismanagement of opting to make them private in the first place.)
