Mayor of Hollywood? (not California)

Please can anyone help me in finding out who is the current Honorary Mayor of Hollywood? Is it still Johnny Grant? The reason is that my daughter wants to write to the Mayor of Hollywood, but I don't want to give her details for the Mayor of California because I believe that is still Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa who is not in favour of giving further power to individual areas of California, such as Hollywood. I am having problems finding out the Honorary Mayor and his address by searching the web, so any help would be most appreciated. Apologies if this is the wrong section.

Thank you very much - before you posted the link, I hadn't noticed the date confirming that Johnny Grant is still definitely the Mayor. I just hope that my daughter receives a reply (I will include an international reply coupon). I hope you have a happy xmas.

To my shame, I still haven't composed the letter properly and sent it...if you read this, should I write it in an official tone or in a fan-type letter? (I really must send it soon...I feel bad now!) Crosso honey - you didn't give us a lot of details to help you decide what the tone of the letter should be - like what your daughter hopes to accomplish by writing it and her age, etc. If she isn't an adult - I would think just help her write something age appropriate for her.

Thanks BBWCHATT for all your advice. My daughter is primary school age and designed a banner which she thought would be suitable for Hollywood (although I know they have their own state seal etc). It's actually rather attractive and colourful so we thought we would send it to the Mayor of Hollywood, as she is such a great fan of all things Hollywood. (She went there when she was quite young but can still remember it, and also loves San Francisco). One problem I had with writing the letter is that Johnny Grant is not as well-known here in the UK as in the US and so I didn't know where to send the letter, also how to tone it. From his site he looks quite wacky but also very hard-working so I will try to write her fan letter in a friendly tone but not OTT as you advise. Thanks and once again I hope you have a great New Year. I hope we get a reply as we once wrote to Santa in Lapland and were disappointed, as maybe I sent it to the wrong address...oops!
