Not sure this is the right section, but as it concerns society, has anyone else noticed that prices in supermarkets have soared over recent months - or is my purse lying to me?

Yes I think when a certain supermarket chain said, "Every little helps", I'm sure they were referring to the amount of cash that seems to flow their way.
And those poxy Clubcards.You spend X amounts of money every week and you get �10 back after a month for your loyal custom.

Mars Bars are about 50p - when I was little (only 27 now) they were at least half that.

You go in, spend �30 and come out with one carrier bag full.

Buying junk food is much cheaper than fresh fruit and veg too, no wonder the world is getting fatter

That supermarket who says Every Little Helps should remove the first and last letter of the sentence . . then it will make more sense!
