can you think of any obscure things that you're legally entitled to do when you reach 18? not the obvious, but things like have a library card in your own name (really exciting that one!). i want to write something in my godson's birthday card. thanks.

Sorry but it's sixteen for a library card (here in Manchester anyway). When you are 18 you can get a tatoo but not sure that you want to suggest that to your Godson!

You have to be 18 to go into a betting shop, take out a mobile contract (only pay as you go prior to 18), become responsible for debts, see films that are classified 18+
