It has often puzzled me why there are more people in the USA than in Britain, when we discovered them and have been going a lot longer than them? It can't be land mass because we have more people in Britain than in Australia. And Australia must be double the land size of Britain.

spudmuffa good question, but i think it might be because they breed like rabbits, or it could be that they simply have MUCH MORE SPACE. Australia is 30 time bigger than UK, the landmass of the USA is 38 times larger. incidently England is one of the most densely populatated places in the world.
