latest graffiti craze

I've noticed the latest cool thing to do is spray a line through street address signs?! Any reason for this?I've posted in culture just in case. I suppose it takes less effort than'tagging' . Don't you think it's getting a bit tedious - don't they realise all the tags look the same anyway and a 4 year old scribbling on the wall has more artistic merit. I suppose it is a childish yearning for recognition - I did that, look! i'm special!!!

I thought they were just testing the spray cans on street signs. Nothing worse than a blocked nozzle. ;-)
