because the weather is better in june than in april, which is her proper birthday, and thats when she does the trooping of the colour.

Thanks for that everyone but I since found out that it was Edward VII (Queen Victoria's son) that started it off, as he wanted a celebration for his birthday, which was in November and he wanted to incorporate Trooping the Colour and decided to have a birthday in June as the weather would be better for the trooping. So even Charles will have the same official day when (or if) he becomes King.
