Not a lot.
Nor me, although I do think he's a statesman and in a different league to Gordon Brown. I imagine he will take the title of the worst prime minister ever.
Just re-read that and perhaps I should clarify it. I mean Gordon Brown will take the title of worst prime minister ever. I believe we're in for a real treat guys!! Mark my words!!!
they are all kn0bs!!
have to agree with naomi...(even if my wand wont work anymore, naomi, eh?)
Wiz, all I can say is thank goodness for that. :o)
Why don't you tell us why you think that kiwi?

It's much more interesting than just telling us what you think

Well jake-the-peg, you want to know why I think what I do of Tony Blair, well here goes, he has done nothing good for the country since he came to power in 1997. He went into Iraq & now look at the mess it's in, also he 's a B LIAR, the B stands for BIG. & going back to Iraq he said the main reason he went into the country was to get rid of Saddam, WRONG, the main reason he went in was for a simple three letter word, OIL. He's also introduced many laws, rules & regulations which have no effect, plus he's said that schools & hospitals have been improved since he came to power, in my opinion they have gone down, MRSA is spreading fast & well, as for schools, i've seen muck on the bottom of my shoe with more brains. Also, one of the biggest problems with this country is (24 hour drinking) & who introduced that I wonder. No wonder he was voted No.1 in The 100 Worst Britons, there you go thats what I think of him, & Gorden Brown, well, i'll just KILL myself now!!!
You can't just rant one side and expect to be taken seriously

Plus side:
*Brought peace in Northern Ireland (Major gets some credit too)
*Established national minimum wage in face of Tory opposition.
*Gave independance to bank of England
*Presided over continuous economic growth - remember recessions - house price collapses - etc?
*Hunting ban (depending on your perspective)
*NHS performance is varied but waiting lists are at their lowest for 10 years
*unemployment a 30 year low.

There are more but I'm sure you're not interested

However Iraq is an absolutly huge negative - afghanistan is understandable but somehow he let us get dragged into what I believe was Bush's personal fued (I don't buy the oil motivation argument there are a lot of pointers towards it after the fact but as a prime motivation I'm not convinced)

I think that in the future when people talk about Blair they'll think about Iraq in the same way that they think about Watergate when they talk about Nixon which in some ways is a shame because it's all a lot more complicated that

they are all kn0bs!!

Just one more thing jake-the-peg, it's thanks to Tony Blairs do-gooder wife that we've got all these terrorists, aslyum seekers & illegal immigrants, if I had my way i'd throw them back where they belong.
I absolutely loathe Tony 'Bleah' and all that he stands for. He has undermined democracy, taken away a lot of the freedoms that we used to take for granted, allowed massive building schemes on the green belt areas, done virtually nothing for our old age pensioners, done nothing to help those of British descent in Zimbabwe.
His worst act has been to place a wedge between the countries that make up the UK.....I could go on.
In short, I believe that in ten short years he has all but destroyed this country. Great Legacy, thanks Tony!
yeah i know what everyone is saying about Tony Blair, but if you look at Britain today it isn't as bad as Iraq and them places. it's hard being prime minister !! not that i would know !
I am not a particular Blair fan, but have you all forgotten what Thatcher and Major did for this country - what a pair of selfish b******s. At least you never feel embarrassed by Tony when he is on the world stage. You may not support his stance on a lot of things, but I can remember the riots, the strikes, the unemployment, the poll tax, the removal of health care etc etc. they ran this country into the ground and the thought of the Tories getting in again makes me sick. Think of the unprecendented economic stability we have had, we have all become complacent - I remember paying over 20% interest on my first Mortgage. I have to admit that Gordon Brown will not make a good prime minister - he hasn't the necessary gravitas and never will. But when you look at the alternatives, I am sure that we will be asking for Tony back. I would be happy to have him up in Scotland as first minister instead of the bumbling idiots we have a choice of.

Economic stability isn't everything (although I agree it is something we all appreciate) and John Major put in place many of the strategies that Gordon Brown is benefitting from,. J M didn't plunder the pension funds and we did, at least, have the freedom to demonstrate, riot etc. then.
Unfortunately we do not appear to have a stong, altruistic leader of integrity to elect in Blair's place.
You forgot all those bl00dy antipodeans!
I would rather vote for a half eaten jam sandwich that tont blair
