OAP drivers!!
9 Answers
I haven't been on in a while because my dad's been helping me with my driving (takes up all me spare time) and the program last night completely backed up what i'd been saying! OAP's shouldn't be on the road! I understand there are probably good OAP drivers out there but they get me soo frustrated!!Anyone agree?

Well, my father and my brother taught me to drive initially at the age of 14. I am now 58 and have only ever been involved in one accident. This was when I was coming down the narrow country lane I live in. Where I was at the time its so narrow only one car at a time can pass through. Further down the lane a 21yr old driver was speeding up towards me. I was on a tight bend and couldn't have done anything else but stop and wait for him to pull into one of the TWO laybys down his end. He could see me clearly but never even hit the brakes. He hit me head on at high speed! He was driving a Mini. I was driving a 760 Volvo Estate .... not a good match! His car was a write off, but he was fine. I hurt my back and neck. My son is in fact the worst driver I have ever come across. He has written off numerous cars, had 11 points on his licence for speeding, been banned etc . I am not saying that all young drivers are bad drivers, but many certainly aren't God's gift to the driving world! A little less bravado and showing off to their mates and a bit more concentration on their driving abilities and that of others on the road would be a good thing. Sadly , so many think they are indestructible as soon as they get their hands on a car! If only this were the case!!! However, Idiots come in all age groups and so we can't really generalise.
