Animals do not have a voice, so we have to be their voice. Some of them suffer the most voilence and abuse and I cannot understand why any human being could cause that much hurt on any animal. In fact, the peopel who are responsible for cruel deeds like that are not human beings.

Too right, reachesme-anyone who commits acts like that has NO human rights, they relinquished those as soon as they behaved in that way.
jenstar-I have never heard such s*** in all my life-dogs are beautiful animals who have worked in harmony with people for centuries and continue to be a loving and faithful companion. I pity you, knowing that you'll never share your life with a dog.

Totally agree with everything you have said , people who do things to children and animals should be hung up by their bits . But as my Mum always says "God always repays his debts in kind " so they have to live with what they have done . Also if they go to prison , the inmates don't like cruelty to children or animals .
Jenstar, how can you say a thing like that!? Dogs only do what comes naturall to them, and if they really are dangerous beyond 'repair' then they should be put down or otherwise humanely(?) killed!
How can you not realise that dogs and other animals don't do vicious things to spite humans, they do it if they feel threatened or vulnerable! It is absolutely dispicable that you could thing animal cruelty is ever justified! Would it be the same if someone was doing it to you!?

Hear hear, ELVIS and clairey, cruelty to animals frightens them and puts them in a position where they have to defend themselves. Dogs are naturally pack animals, loyal and peaceful, and it is only in extreme situations that they HAVE to defend themselves. It takes a LOT to provoke most dogs-think about all the people who abuse dogs and get away with it because the dog trusts this person, no matter how they behave towards it, and will never "turn".
Surely if you were cornered and scared you would respond in a similar way, except that dogs can't speak and reason. Few dogs lash out without warning, and just as you get humans that are unbalanced, so you get animals with similar problems. And if these problems are irreparable, then there are humane methods to destroy dogs, there is NO justification whatsoever for cruelty. I am looking at my dog as we speak, and my god if anyone tried to hurt him, they would KNOW cruelty.
