Which religion forbids it's followers from being photographed? I remember reading about it, and it was somthing to do with capturing a part of the soul.
How would these people manage to get a passport or a drivers licence?

It was reported that aborginals from america and also Australia and new zealand were not happy
I suspect it was ignorance and now they seem to be over it look at the" All blacks" for instance

Among some Islamists, reproduction of the human image was forbidden. When Islam expanded through the Mediterranian, North Africa, and into Spain, paintings of people, and statues, were defaced or destroyed along the way.
The Amish don't like to photographed. They don't drive or use transportation other than horse and buggy, so passports are not needed either.
I suspect it's more cultural than actually religious, though many Muslims do object to having their phtos taken. Chinese, on the other hand, seem to love it. I don't much like tourists photographing me as if I was some sort of picturesque native. On the other hand, when I'm on holiday, I do it to them all the time.
