Why do I seem to be the only one who is very, very fed up with this country being used as a dumping ground. I am patriotic to this country, but in recent months, my estimations have declined. It totally amazes me that we are allowing this stupidity to carry on. Now, I've just read in yesterdays Daily Mail, how immigrants are allowed to claim for their children, who in most cases, have not even set foot in this country & its us the hard-working genuine tax-payer who foots the bill? Please, is there anyone out there who knows who I can write to regarding this snowballing, ludicrous situation. If I may also say, the more of us who start to complain, the better.
Please don't start to bang on about human rights & all that rubbish, because it is.

I read something like that but not in the Mail - and it didn't apply to illegal immigrants, but those working legally here. I'm with you 'has'. We are a soft touch, and it's time this ludicrous situation was sorted out and ended. We have enough problems without keeping the world and his wife -and his kids - too.

"has" I totally agree with you. This country is a sponge for people who have no intention of working and just claiming benefits from our system.
In my opinion we should close our borders for all immigrants for at least 5 years. All illegal immigrants should be sent back to their home country straight away without appeal.
Those that want to come to work, should be made welcome so long as they are not taking work away from all british workers looking for work.
Those that come to work here, then start claiming benefits after a short period, should also be booted back to their home country unless theyve paid into out taxation/national insurance system for at least 5 years.

this problem won't go away , cos all thes immigrants are votes for the governments that allowed them here in the first place, but don't blame the immigrants, it's the governments fault.
Look at it this way, if i could take my family to another country, and get well looked after without having to work, i'd be gone tomorrow.

Many 'legal' East European workers are taking advantage of a perfectly legal loophole in which they are able to claim back all Income Tax and NI paid..................they are, therefore NOT contributing anything to the economy.

Out of curiosity I had a look at the BNP website the other day, and scarily agreed with pretty much all of what they stand for. I have never been racist, however their ideas do seem to refect a lot of what has been said on here......

ok let me allay some fears about migrants in the u.k

FACT the economy received a 4 billion pound boost from all the workers that came over here

FACT britains age is reaching a dangerously old age (mean) wherein in 50 years there will not be enough workers to care for the old people and the amount of people on pension will collapse our society and therefore we NEED young people from other countries to diversify our population.

FACT as Britains we have one of the best passports in the world and can live in so many countries with no problem a bit hypocritical to deny other people the rights you have?


GUESS most people who bring their families on a round the world trip don't undertake it lightly and mostly do not come here to cause trouble most families want to make a living and feed their kids if anyone has a problem with that i think you have some humanitarian issues and might as well become a nazi!

if you look at the amount of people who commit crime in this country compared to the immigrants the figures don't justify the prejudice.

Im sitting here at work surrounded by a workforce of Poles, Slovaks, Ukrainians, Indians and everyother nationality you could wish to think! Its a Saturday morning, Sunday overtime is avialable too! Im the only English person in the works! No overtime was offered to any British person! What's going on?? Was the Empire so bad that we owe everything to everyone in the world??
Its a total disgrace! On average our company employes 10 foriegn temps a week! Why???
