Meeting the Queen

If you were invited to meet the Queen, would you adhere to protocol, and (men) bow, or (women) curtsey - and if not, why not?

quite right, Ruby, and I would go further and refuse to use any objects with her image engraved upon them, such as small round objects bearing the inscription '5p'. This has forced me to revert to the barter economy, or course.

Actually, I quite admire the Queen and think she does a good job, but I wouldn't like to meet her because I don't like formalities and refuse point plant to curtsey to anyone. And I wouldn't make any special effort either if she was to pop round for tea. She would get the same treatment as anybody else.
