There is no denying she is a pretty girl, and the nudity is not graphic, but is the context objectionable?

Just who is this photo aimed at?

" The cover for the French edition of the title unveiled today, was inspired by Sixties swinger Serge Gainsbourg's Melody Nelson album featuring Jane Birkin "

SO IT WOULD SEEM ITS A MODERN DAY INTERPRETATION OF A SIXTIES PICTURE.

Id imagine its aimed at 30s to late 50s aged men.

Though im sure some women will find it as interesting or appealinga s some men.

no idea, but I doubt M&S will have her back.

personally, I think it's wrong to do the little girl porno look.

i don't like the photo.
I didn't know who she was. When I saw her on the m&s advert I thought she had a horrible, weird looking face!

It's about on the same level as Brittany Spears in a school girl outfit, it's blatantly aimed at the "older" man who has little girl fantasies.

I don't think it's right either!

Am I the only one who thinks she's really not attractive? She's quite peculiar looking, if you ask me. Reminds me of the girl from the 90s console advert where the eyes were CGId too far apart so she looked like a 'grey'.

I'm in two minds about grown up women doing the little girl look.

I think it's worse when they put make up on young girls to make them look more grown up.

I don't really know what to think.

As I am neither outraged nor disgusted, merely puzzled as to why any grown woman would agree to that pose, I can only conclude I find it bland.
no.kno ... I've only just noticed that she's giving the bear a reach around. LOL

Do you think the picture editors missed that?
I agree ethel..

Although I can look at that picture and think "hell yeah she's lovely and I would" she did not need to be portrayed in a manner that made her look "young"

She is a pretty girl, and I would have thought the same if she had been pictured in a pose that better reflected her age.
Thats actually a very flattering photo of Lily Cole. Thank God for the Airbrush!

As for being a grown woman, well she's only about 19 or 20 and why did she do it, well she has Supermodel status and probably got paid a packet load for that shoot.
